When I first got into reefing I was lucky enough to make the aquaintance of Richard Ross, a fellow reefer in the Bay area of San Francisco. I helped to finish his 150 gallon in wall with my carpentry skills. Needless to say, as a newby, I picked his brains for hours. Since then, Ive tried to emmulate his system and his reefkeeping philosophy.
Here is the artical.

I have also poured near a half gallon of vinegar into my tank trying to save it. Fortunately, due to my watching the tank crash and being able to act quickly, had no losses. That's another artical in its self.
Here is a link to one of the many other successes and articals Rich has had written about him, or has written about his findings in the recent years if your interested.

If that were me, the smell of crap in my pants would have been added to the mix

Great article. Thanks for posting.

Awesome article. I think that we all should take a moment and read it. Has a lot of good information in it that every now and again we should remember.

Cheers,
Alex
